The Tengger tribe
The Tengger tribe is an

synonymous with the appearance of who likes to tie a sarong on the neck or hang

The name Tengger is
derived from the names of the pair Roro Anteng and Joko Seger who were the
ancestors or ancestors who first established the settlement here. It was also
stated that the Tengger tribe were descended from the Majapahit era. Due to the
condition of the kingdom at that time increasingly pressed by the influence of

Yadnya Kasada or Kasodo
ceremony
This ceremony is part
of the tradition of the Tengger Tribe. Kasodo is usually held on the 14th day
of the tenth month of the Javanese Hindu Tengger calendar. The ceremony starts
from Luhur Poten Temple which is located at the foot of Mount Bromo. Furthermore,
the Tengger tribe will walk to the crater to throw offerings that have been
prepared. The offerings are generally in the form of agricultural and
plantation products as well as live chickens.
The origin of this
ceremony cannot be separated from the story of Joko Seger and Roro Anteng. This
couple has long been married and has not been blessed with children. After
pleading with the gods, finally Roro Anteng can conceive, but on condition that
the youngest child must be sacrificed by throwing him into the crater as an
offering.
Long story short, the
couple Joko Seger and Roro Anteng have 25 children. Because of their instincts
as parents, both of them refused to sacrifice their youngest child. Until then
the god got angry and made a big flame lick out of the crater. Residents ran to
save themselves, but the couple's youngest child could not be found.
After the disappearance
