Turtle conservation

The most interesting thing is the activity of releasing hatchlings or baby turtles to the open sea. Ground Zero Monument

Not far from Kuta Beach there is a monument that is familiar. The original name of the Ground Zero Monument is the Panca Benua Monument, but many call it Ground Zero. This is a monument that was built to commemorate the victims of the Bali Bombing I explosion which occurred on October 12, 2002. This monument was inaugurated exactly two years after the tragedy.

At the bottom of the monument there is a list of victims' names. Every October 12, this monument is visited by many families and friends of the victims for a memorial event and a sow of flowers.

This monument is located on Paddy’s Café land which was the site of the explosion, precisely on Jalan Legian which is an entertainment center in Kuta.

Kuta Beach is located in the southern coast of Bali, or administratively in Badung Regency. This tourist spot is about 12 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport and can be accessed by taxi.
